About the Library
Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre library has closed access system and is open for 8 hours in a day without a break from 8.30a.m. to 4.30p.m. There is a spacious reference section having a seating capacity of 100 students at a time and a separate seating arrangement also made for the staff. In the reference section we have made a separate Discussion Room for the use of Students and Faculties. Library subscribes to 65 Academic and Non-Academic journals and 16 Local and National Newspapers (including Konkani, Marathi and English) besides more than 40,530 Reference and Textbooks. Current Awareness Service is provided to the staff and students by displaying latest information regarding Arts, Commerce and Science subjects and different Scholarships available for staffs / students in various organizations/institutes, General Knowledge and other related information displayed on the Notice Board. Latest additions to the library are displayed on the New Arrival Book Stand. The library has a book bank facility for the socially backward students. Under this Book Bank Scheme, students were given textbooks for a term/semester duration to facilitate their study. In additions to it, Current Awareness Service through paper clippings service will keep the reader informed about latest information in a day-to-day life and Display of New Arrivals to the library, the new books added to the library.

BEST USER AWARD WINNERS OF THE LIBRARY
To motivate the students to make the efficient use of the library sources and services, the ‘Best Library User Award’ has been initiative from 2004-05. Two students are selected one Boy and One Girl student, on the basis of the statistical data regarding reading aptitude of the student, utilization of library resources, discipline every year this Award conferred on the occasion of Annual Prize Distribution Day.
